I handed him 2 large envelopes, one with all my maintenance related receipts, and the other with all my performance/upgrade receipts. The performance receipts totaled to just over $14K with some 2-3K still unaccounted for. I also included pictures as recommended when she was in her prime. It was a pleasure talking to the guy as he reviewed my car & took pictures. He complimented me a few times about how well I've maintained it as suggested, stated that I'll be buying another TT or Vert to TT. I received a call today from insurance that the appraisal came back at $9750 & after license, registration & taxes it's $10700 (and change). I still have not received word of how much buy back is going to be and that is all I'm waiting on. I took the liberty of calling a handful of salvage yards to see what the car is worth and heard anywhere from "a couple hundred" to $1000. Some said that performance parts didn't matter for value while another said it DE-value's because when someone comes to the salvage yard to look for parts, they want OEM, not aftermarket.
